I got to try this after trying Al Haramain L'Aventure, and to be honest I was quite disappointed.Maybe I tried a bad batch or something, but it just seemed like a less potent version of L'Aventure, as I had a tough time even smelling it after a while. However I bought a few samples online with different batches, and I must say they are a lot different each of the batches.

Now whether they’re stolen or not I honestly don’t know but it has been a suspicion of mine. I couldn't believe it after smelling it on some fat sweaty guy in the local gas station. The best Creed fragrance by a gigantic margin with the second best being Bois du Portugal.

Then I found out my own cousin wears it and that's when I realized how prominent it has become. It's Aventus, Aventus by Creed, or Creed's Aventus. I tried really hard not to like this and go for lesser known fragrances but meh, why fool myself?

Sure, it's over glorified, probably every guy and his dad wears it at this point.

Hopefully someday that stops and the irritation of this being over worn by too many people fades away I love it's fruity smoke musk - never smelt anything like it. To be brutally honest though, I was convinced this was a frag for women when I first got a whiff of it.

Under the good elements there’s just one synthetic tinge about this batch that ruins things for me.

I’ve smelled different batches throughout the years since I first put my nose on Aventus and indeed there are differences. Still my most complimented fragrance, It’s just become dull.

I’ve gotten compliment after compliment with Aventus. Doesn’t last as long as I’d like, but i just give a couple of shots at noon and I’m good the rest of the day. @Charles no hard feelings you were only reading what was infront of you and it would be easy to think Genny is just an innocent reviewer like us all but you can see for yourself that that’s sadly not the case.

It is used at just the precise amount to counter the woody smoke base - any more and it would be too sweet and fruity, any less and it would disappear, leaving a standard men's cologne. He actually has a point, its a simple pineapple-smoke combo which simply and obviously is not everyones cup of tea. Enjoy it but you are not gonna insult people based on their opinions about an effing scent.
